Accessibility Statement

KENT AUTORECYCLE is committed to making its website usable by everyone, regardless of ability or technology. This statement explains how we work towards WCAG 2.1 AA, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us about problems.

1. Our commitment

We aim to make this website perceivable, operable, understandable and robust in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Our design uses a clear visual hierarchy, sufficient colour contrast, keyboard-accessible controls and semantic HTML so that screen readers and assistive technologies can navigate the site.

2. What we do

Descriptive page titles and a logical heading structure.
Alternative text on all meaningful images.
Full keyboard navigation, with visible focus indicators on links, buttons and form fields.
Form fields with labels, error messages and ARIA hints, announced by screen readers.
Colour contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA thresholds, with text and icons that don't rely on colour alone.
Mobile-first responsive layout that works at 200% zoom and on small screens.
Reduced-motion-friendly design (animated elements, such as the price ticker, are decorative and can be paused or do not impact comprehension).

3. Known limitations

We are working on the following areas and aim to address them in future releases:

The contact-page map is a third-party Google Maps embed; its accessibility is controlled by Google and it may not be fully usable with assistive technologies.
Some older product images are simplified graphics while real photos are being produced.
Live content is being reviewed on an ongoing basis; if you find a page that is difficult to use, please tell us.

5. Standards and dates

This statement was first published on 15 August 2026 and was last reviewed on 15 August 2026. We test the site on a rolling basis and re-evaluate it as pages are added. Compliance is assessed against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the Equality Act 2010.

This statement describes current practice and known gaps honestly. It is a live document and will be updated as we improve.
