Kent Autorecycle Ltd is an Environment Agency–licensed Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) based at 16 North Street, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire TS2 1JP, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We collect only the information we need to provide our services:

• Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and the message content when you use our contact form.
• Vehicle and quote information — vehicle registration, make, model, condition details and the collection address/postcode you provide when requesting a scrap car quote.
• Order and delivery details — name, address, email and phone needed to deliver parts you buy from our shop.
• Payment details — we do not store card details on our servers; payments are processed by our payment provider. For scrap car payments we collect bank account details (account name, sort code, account number) so we can pay you by bank transfer.
• Identity documents — where required by law (for example under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013), we may collect a copy of your ID. This is stored securely and only used to verify your identity.
• Technical data — the site sets only essential cookies (see our Cookie Policy); we do not run analytics or advertising trackers.

• To respond to your enquiries and messages.
• To prepare, guarantee and administer scrap car quotes and collections.
• To process and deliver parts orders and handle returns.
• To pay you by bank transfer for scrap vehicles and to keep legally required records.
• To issue DVLA Certificates of Destruction and notify the DVLA as required.
• To meet our legal obligations as a licensed ATF, waste carrier and scrap metal dealer.

• Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to provide the quote, collection, sale or delivery service you asked for.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — to comply with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013, environmental permitting, waste carrier rules and DVLA reporting duties.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to run and improve our website and respond to enquiries, where your interests and rights do not override our interests.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — where we ask for it (for example, if we later add marketing or non-essential cookies, we will ask first and you can withdraw consent at any time).

We never sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary with: the DVLA and Environment Agency (where required by law), our payment provider (to process payments), and couriers or collection drivers (to deliver parts or collect vehicles). Each is bound by appropriate data protection obligations.

• Contact messages: up to 24 months from receipt.
• Quote, collection and payment records: at least 3 years, as required for anti-money-laundering and Scrap Metal Dealers Act record-keeping obligations.
• Identity document copies: as required by law for scrap metal dealer records.
• Order records: 6 years (for accounting and tax purposes).

We delete or anonymise personal data when it is no longer needed.
